The Vocational Centre of Pärnu County

The Vocational Centre of Pärnu County (Pärnumaa Kutsehariduskeskus) started its work on the 11 of February 2003. Earlier we had 4 diffrent schools: Pärnu Kutseõppekeskus, Sindi Kergetööstuskool, Pärnu Kodumajanduskool and Tihemetsa Põllumajandustehnikum. Today the studies are in Pärnu and in Tihemetsa. The Vocational Centre of Pärnu County is the biggest educational establishment of Pärnu county. There are 1357 students in our school.
On the basis of basicschool 14 specialities and on the basis of secodary school 11 specialities are taught. Specialities on the basis of basic school are: cook, baker/pastry-cook, shop-assistant, dressmaker/tailor, IT specialist, warehousing, general construction, construction finisher, construction carpenter, joiner, cleaning service, car mechanic, accommidation service and forest economy. Specialities on the basis of secondary school are: secretarial work, hotel service, hairdresser, business administration, waiter/waitress, sales assistant, accountant, social care, forest economy and IT specialist.
Mission of our school: In close co-operation with employers provide competitive vocational competence, knowledge and skills for working life and further studies.Vision of our school: In 2015 The Vocational Centre of Pärnu County has high reputation as a school with acknowledged learning environment, training workers who are competitive both at local and international labour market.

My name is Mary, I am 17 and I come from Boise, Idaho, USA. I am an exchange student here, and will be staying for a Year. I am living with an Estonian family in Niidupark, Pärnu, and am very excited about being here!

My name is IGOR and I have green jumper and I am on the right (on photo), I like cars and motorbikes. I play water polo and I breed animals. Beside myself sit JAKUB (Smety) that likes scooter (motorbike) and he now does driving licence for 120ccm motorbike. Behind me sitting Vojta already is skilled artistic hammer-smith,driving on Kawasaki Ninja and he is full-aged from our class - only one. Honza is siting beside Vojta. He is tunnig yourself scooter for long time. Next is Jakub. Jakub played ice-hockey. Filip like played fotball and dancing breakdance. Last is Honza (his nickname is "Pilot") like computers. Центр профессионального образования Пярнуского уезда.
Пярнумааский центр профтехобразования.

Центр профессионального образования Пярнуского уезда был создан 11 февраля 2003 года в результате объединения трёх профессиональных школ: Пярну, Синди и Тихеметса.

1978-1993 Синдиское ПТУ. 1993-2001 Синдиское училище лёгкой промышленности. 2001 г.

Сейчас в профессиональном центре учится около 1239 учеников. В центре профобразования учатся ученики 14 специальностей после окончания основной школы и 11 специальностей после окончания средней школы (данные 2006 г).
Обучение проходит в трёх учебных местах: в Пярну на улице Парги 1, на улице Нийдупарги 8/12 и в Тихеметса.
ПЯРНУ
Недавно построена и новая учебная мастерская на улице Нийдупарги. В ней будут проходить практику будущие строители, маляры, плотники и столяры. А будущие повара и пекари-кондитеры развивают свои навыки в учебной кухне и новом пекарском цехе на улице Парги.
ТИХЕМЕТСА
Тихеметса раньше называлась Вольтвети. Поместье Вольтвети было лесное поместье. В 1925 году открыли Вольтветискую лесную школу.

16.ноября 2004 года состоялось I собрание ученического самоуправления.
Наш центр профобразования участвует во многих международных проектах. Многие ученики проходят практику за границей. Наша школа очень популярная и перспективная.

The project main focus is on learning about the vocational education system of partner schools and the job opportunities for young people. Attention is paid to specialities and comparing curricula. The goal is mutual learning process and sharing of pedagogical experience. Also gain and exchange useful experience and in close cooperation find new solutions to the problems of vocational education.
